Nanny Aptitude Assessment
At Child’s Best, in New York City, Dr. Learsy and Dr. Reiss are introducing a one of a kind way to provide parents with the satisfaction of knowing their child is in good hands. Dr. Learsy and Dr. Reiss know that nannies play a major role in our children’s lives. They are educators, caretakers, nurturers, mentors and companions, all at the same time. They have a great influence on the child’s personality development, experiences, and safety.
Due to their incredibly influential role in our children’s life, nannies should be chosen wisely. It is not always possible for parents to search and employ the right person for their children, due to their busy schedules and daily responsibilities. Not only that, it’s difficult to get a full understanding of a nanny’s skills during the short interview process before you commit to one. Nanny agencies will conduct criminal and employment background checks, but they do not conduct “fitness interviews” to determine if the nanny is nurturing, attentive, practical, has critical thinking skills and is accountable when the parents are not around.
Child’s Best is introducing a one of a kind way to provide parents with the satisfaction of knowing their child is in good hands. In order to help families determine if a nanny is the right fit for their family, Child’s Best will conduct a clinical fitness evaluation in order to assess a nanny’s compatibility with a family.
Child’s Best will conduct the following services to determine whether the nanny you’ve chosen is right for you and your family:
- interview with parents
- psychological assessments to determine attachment style, safety, and dependability
- clinical interview with the nanny
- clinical observation of the interaction between the nanny and child
- formulation and feedback
